THE ARTIST
From Lyon to Hong Kong
I grew up in Lyon, close to the French Alps, with an early eye for beautiful things. In my twenties, I left for Hong Kong, in Asia, a continent I had never set foot on, and spent close to two years moving through Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, the Philippines... and somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera and never really put it down.
It all started with my father's old film camera, an Olympus OM 2. Then, I just kept chasing the light, on the road and in the quiet of ordinary days, now from my new home, Lisbon. My prints are the frames I chose to keep. I hope you find a little of that stillness in yours.

I'll admit I half-expected a glorified poster. It's not. You can feel it's proper paper, the print has real depth to it, and up close the detail holds. Worth every euro.

We spent two weeks in Japan a few years ago and this is exactly the light I remember at dawn. Every time I walk past it the whole trip comes back. That's really what I paid for.

Came all the way here rolled in a solid tube, not a single crease or bent corner. I've had prints turn up wrecked before so this mattered to me. Framed it that weekend.
