Wall art size guide
  • 20×30 cm (8×12 in) · office desk, shelf, gallery wall
  • 30×45 cm (12×18 in) · entryway, hallway, smaller wall
  • 50×75 cm (20×30 in) · above a bed, console, or desk
  • 100×150 cm (40×60 in) · extra large, above a sofa or on an open wall

Rule of thumb: wall art looks best filling 40–60% of the visible wall width above furniture. Vertical prints pair naturally in sets of two or three.

Works above a desk or console; the larger sizes suit an open wall.

Description

Everyone at Kiyomizu-dera usually rushes straight to the massive wooden veranda to look out over the Kyoto cityscape, but I found myself completely stuck staring in the opposite direction. I stood right beneath the pagoda for a while, just looking straight up.

There's a strange, mesmerizing rhythm in the way that intense vermilion woodwork cuts into a perfectly clean blue sky. It’s centuries of heavy, intricate architectural history, yet from this angle, the entire structure feels completely weightless, like a geometric pattern floating in mid-air.

Apex is a limited-edition fine art photograph by Enzo Benzoni, capturing the striking structural symmetry of Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto. A bold, minimalist piece for anyone fascinated by the vibrant color palettes and clean lines of traditional Japanese architecture.

About this print

  • Subject: Pagoda roof details at Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto, Japan
  • Limited edition, hand-signed and numbered by the artist
  • Archival pigment print on museum-grade paper, with certificate of authenticity
  • Available in multiple sizes
What are the prints made of?

Each print is produced on Hahnemühle fine art paper with archival pigment inks (giclée printing). The result is a matte, museum-grade print rated to last around 100 years without fading. Acid-free and made to order.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Prints are made on a calibrated professional printer for maximum colour fidelity. Screens vary, so the print may look slightly different from your display. If colour accuracy is critical, contact us before ordering and we'll be glad to advise.

How do I choose the right size?

Every print is vertical (portrait) wall art, available in four sizes from 20×30 cm (8×12 in) to 100×150 cm (40×60 in). As a rule of thumb, wall art should fill 40–60% of the visible wall width above furniture. Measure your wall, then pick the closest size.

  • 20×30 cm (8×12 in): office desks, shelves, gallery walls
  • 30×45 cm (12×18 in): entryways, hallways, smaller walls
  • 50×75 cm (20×30 in): above a bed, console, or desk
  • 100×150 cm (40×60 in): extra large wall art for the living room, above a sofa or on an open wall

Hesitating between two sizes? Go larger. Undersized art is the most common wall art mistake.
