Description
People advise you to catch the sunset from the Spanish Mosque, but what caught my eye wasn't just the view over Chefchaouen below, it was the hill itself. I sat back and watched the late afternoon sun drape over the vibrant, green slopes of the Rif Mountains, making the lone white structure of Bouzafar glow against the landscape. Watching everyone slowly gather on the hillside in that warm, low light felt incredibly peaceful, like a timeless ritual of a whole town pausing just to see the day end (though I eventually ended up joining them, and it was worth it).
